First-time Brazilian wax guide

Your first Brazilian wax, explained.

A practical Tampa guide for first-time Brazilian wax clients: prep, timing, aftercare, and rebooking.

Let the hair grow first

Hair should be about a quarter inch long. If you have been shaving, wait about two to three weeks before your appointment so the wax can grip the hair properly.

Exfoliate gently before your appointment

Light exfoliation the day before can help remove dry skin. Avoid harsh scrubs right before your wax and arrive with clean skin.

Expect a quick appointment

Returning Brazilian appointments are listed at about 15 minutes, and new client appointments are listed at about 25 minutes.

Plan aftercare

For the first 24 to 48 hours, avoid heavy sweating, hot tubs, tanning, friction, and exfoliating the waxed area.
